WHO IS ZONOSISTEM?

ZonoSistem is a company with 15 years of experience. We manufacture ozone generators and provide solutions to purify and disinfect water and air. We work with national and international industries. The members of our commercial team have a degree in environmental science, chemistry, or biology. Among our employees we find electronic, mechanical and electrical engineers but also product designers who develop the products. They are highly qualified and experienced. Our operators manufacture the equipment.
We are a company with a high technical profile, committed to quality work. We also comply with legal requirements.

IS IT LEGAL TO SELL OZONE AS A DISINFECTANT?

Yes, it can be sold as a disinfectant. According to the Regulation 528/2012 it is considered as an active substance of in situ generation. That Regulation was made to regulate the commerce and use of biocides, guaranteeing a high level of protection for human health and the environment.

Ozone is under evaluation for TP2, TP4, TP5 and TP11 products. Its use is allowed. The method and the treatment conditions are the manufacturers responsibility.

DOES OZONE KILL COVID-19?

Ozone capacity to kill COVID-19 has not been tested yet. It is in evaluation phase. Official tests to include it in the ministry’s list of viricides have not been carried out.

WHO CAN SELL OZONE IN SPAIN?

In Spain, ozone and its generating machines can be marketed as long as they comply with current regulations, especially EU Regulations 528/2012 (marketing and use of biocides), 1907/2006, and 1272/2008 of Parliament and the Council.

ZONOSISTEM INGENIERÍA DEL OZONO, S.L.U. is a full member of EUOTA (European Ozone Trade Association) and co-owner of the dossier presented to ECHA (European Agency for Chemical Substances and Mixtures). The dossier authorizes us to market ozone and our generating machines within the scope of the European Union.

CAN OUR DISTRIBUTORS SELL OZONE LEGALLY?

Our distributors can market ozone generators which are manufactured by companies included in the aforementioned OTF as long as they follow the recommendations for use. If the currenty law conditions are modified, we will be the first to inform them.

Many of our distributors also sell generators of other brands. If these products do not come from the list of manufacturers that meet the requirements, they should not be sold in Spain or Europe.

Our distributors work independently and under their own responsibility. All those products and treatments that are outside our standard catalogs are excluded from our protection.

RECENT PROPAGANDA, BULLS AND FAKE NEWS

In recent weeks, the ozone sector has experienced exponential growth, promoting that companies that do not meet the requirements to sell ozone and ozone generators entry into the market.

Ozone is a very powerful disinfectant. It must be treated professionally in order to be effective, and with knowledgeable so that there is no harm to human health or the environment.

• Comply with the established in the Article 95.2 of Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 regarding the suppliers of the active substance (s) included in the ECHA list. To do so, they must complete the self-certification model, using the appropriate template. The current exponential growth of the ozone sector has generated a great diversity of opinions. Many of them are positive, but many others are based in false or inaccurate statements and are intended t discredit the positive effects of the use of this biocide in industries and society in general. For those discrediting attempts based on false or inaccurate manifestations, ZonoSistem will initiate the corresponding legal actions to stop them.
